About Colin MURPHY
As a Principal, with over thirty-five years of experience in the design, testing, and forensic analysis of roofing and building envelopes, Mr. Colin Murphy leads a strong team of designers, investigators, project managers, laboratory technicians, field observers, architects, and engineers, all of whom focus on the exterior envelope.
He has presented at numerous symposia & conferences on building envelope and forensic investigation. He has also published numerous articles in industry publications, technical journals and national and international symposiums. In addition, he holds numerous patents for building material components.

Colin Murphy is a Principal at SOCOTEC and has held various other positions within the organization since 1986. Prior to his current position, Mr. Murphy was a Managing Partner at Trinity | ERD which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2022.
