About Eric CHEIFET
Mr. Eric Cheifet serves as Vice President and Principal Engineer of SOCOTEC’s Advanced Engineering Services. His works focus on the fields of stress analysis and fitness-for-service (FFS) assessments, including deterministic and probabilistic fracture mechanics approaches. Mr.Cheifet specializes in finite element analysis (using ANSYS) to assist in failure and root cause determination, including repair procedures.
These analyses can also address concerns of residual stresses, vibration, fatigue, and creep, among others. His expertise extends across the transportation, infrastructure, building services, and energy industries.
Mr. Cheifet has also worked extensively in design and structural analysis of aircraft airframes and components, specifically on the CH-47 Chinook helicopter.
