SOCOTEC USA's Optima Onyx Tower has succesfully achieved LEED Platinum & LEED v2009 CS Certifications
We are delighted to share that the Optima Onyx Tower has achieved LEED Platinum Certification and LEED v2009 CS - Platinum Level Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Also called Onyx Tower, is the continuation of Aventura Optima project, located along S Federal Hwy in Hallandale Beach, FL. The iconic tower possesses an extraordinary design and sustainable space.
This space is a total of 709,503 SF and 390,514 SF of parking garage, 23,757 SF of a two-story financial building, and 295,232 SF of a twenty-story office tower that sits above the garage. It has 282,000 SF gross floor area and uses are mainly offices (tower), with a retail-shell space on the first floors. The project includes 272,302 SF of office space, 12,508 SF of bank space, 1,767 SF for a café, 47,650 SF for garden and reflecting pool decks on the fifth and ninth floors, and 851 parking spaces, which will be located in the basement and in the garage at the base of the building.
The Optima Onyx Tower is a sustainable development with the use of green materials. The main sustainability features are energy savings of 30% including a solar panel array on the roof top, produced less than 15lbs/sf of waste and a Safety First Pilot credit which looks to enhance the green cleaning and disinfecting procedures of the building for pathogens like COVID.
