Comprehensive Geophysical Services

We offer a wide range of geophysical methods tailored to each project’s goals, subsurface conditions, and regulatory requirements. Our capabilities include:

magnetics survey with magnetometer geophysics
01 / 03

Verifies the quality of concrete in drilled shafts using ultrasonic waves. It identifies anomalies such as voids or weak zones before foundations are completed.

  • Deep foundation depths and integrity
  • Voids location (concrete, soil, rock)

Evaluates subsurface conditions using dipole/dipole, Wenner array, and Fall-of-Potential (FOP) methods. Applications include mapping landfills, assessing corrosion potential, identifying voids, and evaluating soil suitability for grounding systems.

  • Abandoned mines, caves or tunnels
  • Buried objects - metallic or non-metallic
  • Contaminant plume
  • Electrical grounding and corrosion studies delineation
  • Groundwater depth
  • Landfill boundaries and leachage plumes

Detects subsurface metal objects and conductivity variations, useful for locating buried tanks, drums, or contaminant plumes. EM surveys are often a first step in environmental or utility investigations.

  • Archeological sites/burials
  • Buried debris
  • Buried objects - metallic or non-metallic
  • Contaminant plume delineation
  • Underground storage tank location (UST)
  • Unexploded ordinance (UXO)
  • Utility line location

Maps internal structures of soil, concrete, and other materials by detecting changes in dielectric properties. Useful for locating rebar, voids, pipes, and interfaces in subsurface layers.

  • Abandoned mines, caves or tunnels
  • Archeological sites/burials
  • Bridge deck conditions and reinforcement
  • Buried objects - metallic or non-metallic
  • Concrete thickness/quality
  • Rebar/post-tension cable condition and designation
  • Shotcrete/gunite thickness/reinforcement/ quality
  • Underground storage tank location (UST)
  • Utility line location
  • Voids location (concrete, soil, rock)

Assesses subsurface layering and seismic site classification using refraction, downhole, and crosshole techniques. Essential for deep foundation design and seismic hazard analysis.

  • Bedrock depth
  • Dynamic moduli
  • Faults, fissures, rock fractures, steeply dipping features
  • Poisson’s ratio values
  • Rippability and relative rock quality
  • Seismic site classification (P-wave and S-wave velocity)
  • Soft soil zones/poorly compacted fill below hard surface soils

Records and evaluates vibrations from construction or blasting to protect nearby structures and verify compliance with vibration limits.

  • Blast monitoring
  • Construction monitoring
  • Site response

Identifies flaws or delaminations in concrete such as voids, cracks, and honeycombing. It is a key quality assurance tool for existing and new structures.

  • Bridge deck conditions and reinforcement
  • Concrete thickness and quality
  • Site response
  • Rebar/post-tension cable condition and designation
  • Shotcrete/gunite thickness/reinforcement/quality

Detects ferrous materials by identifying anomalies in the earth’s magnetic field. Often used in combination with other methods to pinpoint buried objects.

  • Buried debris
  • Buried objects - metallic or non-metallic
  • Landfill boundaries and leachage plumes
  • Underground storage tank location (UST)
  • Unexploded ordinance (UXO)

Provides high-resolution acoustic images of underwater sediments and buried structures. Ideal for assessing conditions beneath reservoirs, rivers, or marine facilities.

  • Marine sediment investigations
  • Water column imaging/gas seepage monitoring
  • Dredging surveys

Assesses the condition and length of deep foundations using reflected seismic energy. Valuable for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.

  • Deep/shallow foundation depths and integrity

Measures heat dissipation in soils to inform the design of underground power lines. Critical for high-voltage installations and energy infrastructure.

  • Electrical grounding and corrosion studies
  • Thermal resistivity values

Improves data coverage and accessibility using drones equipped with LiDAR, thermal imaging, and aeromagnetic sensors. Ideal for mapping faults, fractures, and large or remote areas with precision and speed.

  • Faults, fissures, rock fractures, steeply dipping features
  • Aeromagnetic drone surveys
