About Brian MUNDO
As a Principal Geologist, Mr. Mundo conducts geologic, geophysical, and geotechnical engineering evaluations for design, construction, and forensic projects. His project experience spans commercial, industrial, and renewable energy developments; military facilities; schools; airports and mass transit facilities; bridges and highways; water/wastewater facilities; flood control structures; and resort properties.
Mr. Mundo evaluates settlement and expansive soils, ground movement, faults, and geologic hazards. He also provides expertise for litigation cases, insurance claims, and distressed structures, including evaluating causes of structural distress, assessing potential future damage, formulating repair recommendations, preparing technical reports, and providing expert witness testimony.
He utilizes subsurface exploration techniques, non‑destructive and non‑invasive field instruments, and laboratory testing methods to support comprehensive geotechnical and geologic evaluations.

Brian Mundo is a Principal Geologist at SOCOTEC, with more than 33 years of industry experience. He joined SOCOTEC in 2025 through the acquisition of Ninyo & Moore, where he spent over 29 years developing expertise in geotechnical and materials testing services.
