About Craig WELFER
Mr. Welfer is Director of Geotechnical Engineering Services and Senior Geotechnical Engineer. He supervises field investigations, design, cost estimating, and construction support services on roadway, water resources, flood control, and water supply projects. His design experience includes shallow and deep foundations for various structures such as bridges, buildings, retaining walls, flood control levees, stormwater facilities, sound barrier walls, and culverts. He is knowledgeable of geotechnical matters such as embankment fill and cut slope stability, mine subsidence, geophysical analysis and data interpretation, and evaluation of karst terrain (sinkholes). He develops and conducts subsurface investigations, including boring programs.

Mr. Craig WELFER is Director of Geotechnical Engineering Services and Senior Geotechnical Engineer of AEG, a SOCOTEC Company, with more than 32 years of industry experience. He joined SOCOTEC through the acquisition of AEG, where he spent over 26 years, developing extensive expertise in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Field Investigations.
