New York, September 1, 2026
SOCOTEC today announced the completion of the rebranding of American Engineers Group (AEG), bringing the company under the SOCOTEC brand while reinforcing its long-term commitment to delivering multidisciplinary engineering consulting services for critical infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the broader Mid-Atlantic region.
Founded 65 years ago, AEG has built a strong reputation as a trusted engineering partner to public and private clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with a network of four offices serving the region. Joining the SOCOTEC brand reflects the company's continued evolution, having been acquired in March 2026, while preserving the expertise, relationships and responsiveness clients have relied on for years.
Today, SOCOTEC brings together more than 1,700 professionals, over 40 offices and more than 25 CMT laboratories across the United States, providing clients with access to a broader network of technical specialists and complementary expertise – including specialty engineering, building performance, forensic investigations, project advisory and advanced laboratory services – while maintaining the local teams that understand their markets and projects.
"Completing the rebranding of AEG under the SOCOTEC name is an important step in our commitment to the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Vijay Gupta, President of American Engineers Group. “Our clients will continue to work with the same skilled engineers and teams they know and trust, now backed by the full strength, resources and multidisciplinary expertise of SOCOTEC nationwide. We remain fully focused on delivering the responsive, high-quality service our clients expect.”
For existing AEG clients, the transition is straightforward. The legal entity - American Engineers Group, LLC, contracts, project teams and day-to-day contacts remain unchanged. Clients will simply begin seeing the SOCOTEC brand across proposals, reports, invoices and other communications.
Over the past several years, SOCOTEC has significantly expanded its presence across the United States through strategic investments and acquisitions, creating one of the country's leading technical consulting, engineering and testing organizations. This national footprint enables the company to support increasingly complex infrastructure programs while continuing to invest in people, laboratories, technology and technical expertise.
"AEG's full transition to the SOCOTEC brand is another milestone in a much bigger story," said Nicolas Detchepare, CEO of SOCOTEC USA. "We are building a national platform that brings together the best local engineering, testing and consulting expertise from across the country under one unified brand, one standard of quality, and one vision for the future. As SOCOTEC USA continues to grow, our focus remains on giving clients access to deeper multidisciplinary capabilities, broader geographic reach, and the innovation needed to meet tomorrow's infrastructure challenges — all while never losing the trusted, local relationships that got us here."
