SOCOTEC provided a baseline schedule review to support the construction of the new Sumner County Courthouse in Gallatin, TN. Construction projects always face challenges in meeting cost and time targets. Third-party expert consultants offer the objective assessment required to keep projects on track.

As the nearby city of Nashville expands, its northern suburbs have also experienced rapid growth. The new Sumner County courthouse caters to the growing population’s need for local services.

With SOCOTEC’s early engagement, lead expert Chris Sauer, in partnership with the project management team, implemented schedule quality improvements that paved the way to early and efficient recovery of project delays. When COVID related supply chain constraints arose, leveraging the high quality CPM project schedule, SOCOTEC assisted the project team in prioritizing mitigation efforts.

Further, once the mitigation plans were implemented SOCOTEC assisted in preparing the time impact analysis (TIA). With years of experience and a high quality CPM schedule, SOCOTEC supported the client in proactively recovering cost and time, avoiding expensive disputes at the end of the project.

Chris Sauer, Managing Director based in Atlanta, GA led the SOCOTEC team.

Chris Sauer has 17 years of construction industry experience. He has expertise in providing construction project management, analysis and testimony related to contract performance delays. Sauer’s recent projects include hospitals, heavy industrial, solar, nuclear, and steel mills involving schedule changes and delays analysis.
