About Brent BASOM
Mr. Basom is Executive Vice President Senior and Senior Geotechnical Engineer responsible for contract administration, and ensuring schedule and budget compliance, QA/QC, and managing a diverse professional staff. He has over 37 years of design and management experience, with involvement in more than 100 PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects. He is responsible for quality assurance for geotechnical aspects of bridge, highway, transportation, water resources, commercial, and environmental projects, including subsurface/boring investigations; soil and rock laboratory testing programs; interpretation of data and test results; design of foundations and earth retaining structures; bearing capacity, settlement, and slope stability analyses; preparation of plans and specifications, contracts, and various technical reports; peer reviews; shop drawing reviews; and construction consultation.

Mr. Brent BASOM is Executive Vice President Senior and Senior Geotechnical Engineer of AEG, a SOCOTEC Company, with more than 37 years of industry experience. He joined SOCOTEC in 2026 through the acquisition of AEG, where he spent over 26 years, developing expertise in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing.
