About Eric ELISON
As a Principal Engineer, Mr. Elison has over 30 years of civil and geotechnical engineering experience on numerous design, construction, and forensic projects. This professional experience includes residential, commercial, industrial, and public agency buildings; airports and mass transit facilities; bridges, highways, and other roadway improvements; water/wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and pipelines; flood control structures; and additional public and private works.
Mr. Elison regularly provides expert witness testimony on a variety of issues related to settlement and expansive soils, faults and fissures, drainage conditions, groundwater, and concrete deterioration. His forensic experience typically involves evaluation of the cause(s) of distress, assessment of the potential for future distress, formulation of repair recommendations, preparation of written reports, attendance at mediations, and expert witness testimony.

Eric ELISON is a Principal Engineer at SOCOTEC, with more than 30 years of industry experience. He joined SOCOTEC in 2025 through the acquisition of Ninyo & Moore, where he spent over 28 years, developing expertise in geotechnical evaluations, foundation engineering, pavement design & evaluation, slope stability analysis, and forensic civil and geotechnical engineering.
