The Challenge
Construction of a Large-Scale Events Facility with Subterranean Levels
The Henderson Events Center was developed as a replacement for the former Henderson Pavilion and required construction of a new, enclosed, multi-use 6,000-seat venue capable of supporting ice hockey, basketball, concerts, and special events.
The 190,000-square-foot facility was constructed on a 14-acre parcel and includes an Event Level, Lower Bowl, Concourse, Upper Bowl/Party Deck, and Press Level, all enclosed beneath a high-volume roof system.
A key challenge was the presence of two subterranean levels, which required significant grading operations, including cuts and fills of up to approximately 30 feet. The project also involved the demolition of the existing outdoor amphitheater, adding logistical and sequencing complexity to site development and construction activities.
