Delivering an Innovative Housing Project in a Demanding Urban Environment

One River North is one of Denver's most distinctive residential developments, redefining high-density urban housing through architecture inspired by Colorado's natural landscape.

Located in the River North Art District (RiNo), the 16-story mixed-use building features 187 residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a dramatic canyon-inspired design with more than 13,000 square feet of landscaped terraces, waterfalls, and native vegetation extending from the sixth floor to the rooftop.

This ambitious design by MAD Architects demanded precise engineering to ensure the building's foundation could support the complex structural loads while maintaining the integrity of surrounding properties. Additionally, the site required thorough environmental assessment and ongoing monitoring throughout construction to protect both workers and future residents.
