About Eric WELTMER
Mr. Eric S. Weltmer is a Senior Construction and Geotechnical Specialist with more than two decades of experience supporting complex infrastructure and Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) projects throughout the City of Philadelphia. As Construction Services Manager, he provides proven leadership overseeing all phases of construction services, including proposal preparation, inspector management, scheduling, project management, QA/QC, contracting, and invoice control. His ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple inspectors, refined through extensive Central Office experience, has consistently resulted in projects delivered on time and within budget.
In addition to his construction leadership role, Mr. Weltmer brings extensive hands-on geotechnical expertise, particularly in support of the Philadelphia Water Department’s GSI planning and design programs. His background includes subsurface investigations, infiltration testing, and GSIGG-compliant geotechnical evaluations, providing critical technical guidance from early planning through design development.
By delivering clear, data-driven recommendations, he strengthens project teams’ ability to assess site feasibility, refine concepts, and advance buildable, regulation-compliant GSI designs across diverse urban conditions.

Mr. Eric WELTMER is Construction Services Manager/Senior Geotechnical Specialist of AEG, a SOCOTEC Company, with more than 23 years of industry experience. He joined SOCOTEC in 2026 through the acquisition of AEG, where he spent over 19 years, developing expertise in Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering and Project Management.
