The Challenge
Delivering a World-Class Resort and Indoor Water Park
Built on a portion of the 1,600-acre site formerly occupied by the historic Concord Resort, The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Water Park is a 430,000-square-foot family resort destination in Thompson, New York.
The approximately $180 million development features one of New York's largest indoor water parks, spanning two acres, alongside an eight-story, 324-suite luxury hotel, a family entertainment center with an arcade, mini bowling, and ropes course, eight restaurants and bars, a spa, and 18,000 square feet of conference space.
One of the project's defining features is its column-free indoor water park, which houses waterslides, pools, and attractions beneath an energy-efficient transparent Texlon roofing system designed to maximize natural light. The facility also includes landscaped indoor spaces, a living plant wall, expansive deck areas, and an elevated cabana oasis designed for year-round operation.
The construction of large-scale hospitality and entertainment destinations requires careful coordination, rigorous quality assurance and comprehensive inspections to help maintain construction quality and compliance throughout every phase of the project.
