The Challenge
Preparing a 15-Acre Site for Development
The $18 million PharmaCannis Medical Marijuana Facility in Hamptonburgh, New York, was developed as a 128,000-square-foot facility dedicated to research and development and manufacturing.
The project required significant site preparation to accommodate the new building. Mass grading operations involved cutting and filling more than 60,000 cubic yards of structural fill to construct a 15-acre building pad.
The scale of the earthwork, combined with the subsequent structural construction, created a need for testing and inspection across multiple stages of development.
At the time, PharmaCannis was one of only five companies to obtain a medical marijuana license, making the Hamptonburgh development an early project of its kind in New York. It was the company’s second such facility, following its Illinois location.
