The Challenge
Supporting a Major Refrigerated Distribution Facility
United Natural Foods, a distributor of natural, organic, and specialty foods, constructed a new refrigerated distribution facility on Neelytown Road in Montgomery, New York.
With a construction value of approximately $55 million, the facility became the second-largest distribution facility in United Natural Foods’ national network.
The project was also the latest in a series of distribution facilities developed within Montgomery’s growing logistics corridor. Its scale and variety of construction activities required testing and inspection across multiple materials, systems, and stages of construction.
Having supported several other distribution facilities in the area, Advance Testing, a SOCOTEC Company brought relevant local experience to the project.
