About John BAILEY
John L. Bailey is a Senior Principal in the Dallas office of SOCOTEC. Mr. Bailey has over twenty years of experience in providing construction scheduling and cost analysis to contractors, subcontractors, owners, engineers, architects, and insurance companies. He has prepared and critiqued construction claims, analyzed project schedules, analyzed financial documentation, and estimated costs to complete on troubled projects. Mr. Bailey’s experience in project scheduling includes the analysis of design-related changes, adverse weather impacts, material availability and delivery, access and permitting requirements, contractor and subcontractor coordination, labor performance and productivity impacts, submittal and approval timing, and termination and substitution issues. In addition, Mr. Bailey has extensive experience in analyzing claims for defective work, schedule delays, acceleration, loss of productivity, change order work, and cost overruns. Mr. Bailey has also performed project closeout investigations to determine allowable contract costs and assess alleged improprieties in the billing of work.
Mr. Bailey has consulted on a variety of projects across the United States and internationally, including airports, power plants, cogeneration installations, refineries, mining facilities, natural gas facilities, stadiums, public works/infrastructure projects, commercial office buildings, hotels, residential buildings, retail developments,and transportation / light rail projects. Mr. Bailey has provided expert testimony in state court and in arbitration.

John BAILEY is a Senior Principal at SOCOTEC and has held various other positions within the organization since 2003. Prior to his current position, Mr. BAILEY was a Vice President at Veritas Advisory Group, Inc. which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2020. Mr. BAILEY was previously employed at Peterson Barrington – a unit of Navigant Consulting.
