About Stanford CHAN
Mr. Stanford Chan has extensive experience with consulting and monitoring on various exterior envelope and roofing systems. His experience includes new construction, re-clads, overclads, restoration, window replacement, and storefront replacement. He has extensive knowledge of the following systems: masonry (veneer and multi-wythe walls), curtain wall, window wall, and various roof systems.
As Director of SOCOTEC’s Existing Buildings’ Division and the Roofing and Waterproofing Division, his current work includes managing a technical team of over 20, overseeing all projects while working closely with clients, writing specifications, preparing and detailing architectural drawings and reviewing shop drawings.

Stanford CHAN is a Senior Principal at SOCOTEC and has held various other positions within the organization since 1997. Prior to his current position, Mr. CHAN was a Senior Principal at Vidaris, Inc., formerly Israel Berger & Associates, which was acquired by SOCOTEC in 2019. Mr. CHAN was previously employed at James R. Gainfort, AIA Consulting Architects.
