About Lama Bitar
Lama specializes in the design, construction, and commissioning of building envelope systems. Her background in building envelope consulting, with an emphasis on thermal and air barrier continuity, lends to effective detailing solutions for projects complying with the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code, which prioritizes reducing heating and cooling loads through enhanced envelope performance.
She has worked on a wide range of new construction and existing building projects across Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, D.C., including multifamily, education, commercial, healthcare, and government facilities. In Massachusetts, her experience includes Energy Code consulting and Third-Party reviews, Passive House (Phius) consulting, and assistance with energy modeling efforts, including TEDI and ASHRAE Appendix G (Relative Pathway) compliance. Her work also includes preparing COMCheck and RESCheck envelope documentation, conducting decarbonization assessments, and supporting SOCOTEC’s HERS raters.
Lama’s former work experience includes leading the Building Envelope Commissioning practice at a national engineering firm.
